The Glow Getters

Seeking the Glow.

Before that certain time of the month my skin throws a little wobble and I get the chin blemishes, oil slick, my pores look the size of moon craters and horrible grey dullness, oh joy!

Last Saturday I was going out and to be honest panicked slightly my skin looked as described above *sadface so instead of addressing my skins needs with skincare like I normal would  I applied some heavier foundation and illuminating powder… This was not a good idea! There is no point in trying to cover crap with cashmere.
So I took a deep breath and thought what would I normally do when my skins like this? I would reach for my Diptque Multi-Use Exfoliating Clay.

So I  decide to remove my makeup and gave myself a mini facial with the Exfoliating Clay as my secret weapon.

Here’s what I did.

*Removed makeup with Soap and Glory Hot Cloth Cleanser.

*Cleansed with The Organic Pharmacy Carrot Butter.

I then applied the exfoliating clay as a mask you can use this as a scrub, mask or over night spot treatment. I left it on for 10 minutes then removed gently with face cloth, I don’t use this as a scrub as am not a huge fan of grainy products although the grains in this are so finely milled that I don’t mid the feel so much. This mask works wonders, honestly everytime I use it am so pleased with the results and this time was no difference. Pores weren’t really visible anymore and my skin overall looked brighter and smooth. Too really get the dewy glow though I followed with these.

*Toned with Jeffrey James Botanics The Glow

*Treated with Vichy Hydra Serum.#(its good to rehydrate your skin after a clay mask)

*Moisturised with Clinique Hydra Quench Cream.

*Primed with Sisley Global Perfect Pore Minimizer

I then was able to use my current favourite mix of foundations Nars Sheer Glow and Rimmel Lasting Finish and everything look way better….Phew!!

The Clay is fairly expensive at £44 for 100ml I mean masks are normally 50ml roughly so the pot will last you a good while, it looks great on your dressing table and for me it works like a dream.
