I have found, in my experience as a makeup junkie and artist, that generally I prefer the quality, easy blending and long wearing benefits of the more expensive eye shadow brands. My favourites are Lorac, Viseart Matt shadows and Mac. So I was very excited when I saw the new H&M single eyeshadow in Ginger Snap as it looked like an dupe for Macs Amber Lights. One of my most loved and trusted eye powders.
I got it home and checked it is practically like for like, apart from being ever, ever so slightly redder toned, as you’ll see in my pictures. It isn’t even noticeable when applied to the eyes though.
The H&M single shadow costs £3.99. Mac Amber Lights is £14.50 that’s a very good saving!
Both have a lovely smooth cream constancy although there is a little fall out from the H&M one if applied dry but nothing major it certainly doesn’t put me off buying or using it like some cheaper brands.
I will be trying some more of the H&M single eye shadows very soon am very pleased and impressed with the quality and its perfect for my make up kit at that price 🙂
Have you tried the new H&M range? What are your thoughts?
